made awhile before "Hellgate" a western with Sterling Hayden which deals with a similar plot contrivance, this picture is silly and laugh out loud funny in places. "Hellgate" on the other foot is actually a pretty good B western. Bot have a slew of nasty types imprisioned in a mine and both were shot at Bronson Caverns, but the similarities end there. "Barricade" fist fights among other idiocies is the trifle. If one wants a decent flick watch "Hellgate" instead.
