The Locomotive Model in the Peralta Office

The large model locomotive seen in the Peralta Land Office appears to be the identical model used in "Johnny Guitar" (1954), where it's seen in the saloon, behind the bar. Even the number ("2") on the model is identical, not to mention the scale and details. In "Johnny Guitar" we get to see this model in color.

That is a fascinating tidbit. "Johnny Guitar" is one of my favorite movies, and I've seen it several times, but I must admit I do not remember seeing this model train behind the bar. *Note to self: watch "Johnny Guitar" again and look for train.

I just saw this movie for the first time. It is a beautiful train. The type O kind I believe. As a kid I had a few train sets. Always wanted a type O, the big trains.
