TCM is running a bunch of classic movie serials

On 3/23-3/24 they're showing episodes of various serials. It looks like at least some of them may run for successive weeks, but it's not clear:
Superman (1948), w/Kirk Alyn and Noel Neill
Atom Man vs. Superman
The Green Hornet, w/Gordon Jones and Keye Luke
Buck Rogers
Flash Gordon, w/Buster Crabbe
The Phantom
Ace Drummond
Dick Tracy

Caught some of them last night. Batman ex. produce Michael Ulsan was co-hosting. I wonder why imdb doesn't allow ratings for individual episodes of serials as it does tv shows?

I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because they consider it a single film that is shown in pieces. E.g., for The Green Hornet (1940), they list a total running time of 258 min (13 episodes), so I guess it's sort of considered to be a film.

I'm guessing it is simply b/c it was in the theater b/c tv mini-series are treated just like tv series and are ratable per episode, yet they are one film much like movie serials were. It was the precursor to tv, and they were episodic, should be split IMO.
