Beans, beans, beans, nothin' but beans!

I was fully expecting them to burst out in the "magical fruit, makes you toot" version at any minute. It's a great scene by itself, but for anyone who's been in the conscription army, it's a hoot, or should I say toot.

wow, i expected more posts on this board, a well known title with some of entertainment history's biggest stars, though it is sort of a drag and i got that impression before even starting watching it, adding to that comedy usually doesn't age well, actually the music made this for me, it's like when people complain about "blues brothers 2000", as someone appreciating it for the music i'm like, hello? you know it's a musical, right. there are so many comedic actors that has been inspired by jerry lewis, it seems most apparent with jim carrey, this is like watching an act of his, even though dean martin is credited before lewis, he seems to have a lot less screen time, and notice lewis' role is spelled differently in credit and plot (alvin corwin / alvin korwin), whenever i hear dean martin's name i'm reminded of the running joke in "back to school" (1986) where the dean of the school is named martin, thereby becoming dean martin. this movie is available in all sorts of collections and different releases as if it was in public domain (like you can see the original black and white "night of the living dead" pop up everywhere, just alone movie hostess elvira has it in several collections), this has an incredibly small shooting setting, the first half part of the movie pretty much takes place in a kitchen and an office. check out the eyebrows on the bartender.
