Wrigley Field in LA?

This film is set in Los Angeles. There's no question about that. The heist takes place outside of a sporting arena called Wrigley Field, which we all know is in Chicago. Did Wrigley have a stadium in LA that was torn down decades ago and is long forgotten? Or did they just use the name Wrigley Field cause it was convenient, or what? In 1950 the actual Wrigley Field would have been well-known, so why would they use a name that's associated with an entirely different part of the country?

Answered my own question. There was a Wrigely Field in Los Angeles built in 1925 or so. http://www.sportshollywood.com/lawrigley.html

I wondered that at the time as well, so your public question-and-answer was not in vain.

Several minor-league teams called L.A.'s Wrigley Field home, including the original Los Angeles Angels of the Pacific Coast league. Several game scenes of PRIDE OF THE YANKEES and DAMN YANKEES were filmed there, as was the venerable TV show, HOME RUN DERBY. The American League expansion team, the Angels, played there in its inaugural season, 1961.

At one time, the PCL Angels were a farm team for the Chicago Cubs, owned by chewing gum magnate Phillip K Wrigley.

I find my solace then in bottles,
And I forget them axolotls.
