Pretty Unique Film!

This film has great value as there are very few films that address the events in the Philippines between MacArthur's departure and his return ... which was almost four years.

These were barbaric and desperate times for the Filipino people and it is good to see it memorialized in film. Noteworthy is the fact that this film is based on the memoirs of Iliff David Richardson so the film is probably pretty true to life.

Although it is not a very good film ... I give it a huge bump for historical context.
