I agree about the This is Your Life parody but, if you never saw the original, would you get it? Like Sid as the Russian Arthur Godfrey. If you're under 50, you probably have no idea who Arthur Godfrey was. Inexplicably, he was the biggest thing on TV since sliced bread, which just goes to prove H.L. Mencken right when he said "Noone ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public". Some of Sid's parodies make the original irrelevant. You don't have to have seen Your Hit Parade to fall off your chair when you see Sid and Nanette in "The Shadow Waltz". If that's not on youtube, somebody please put it up.
