"Get a load of fatso"

Why was ralph afraid of harvey when he was able to beat the *&^% out of that mobster that ties up alice?

reply

Well, the mobster got a little rough with Alice, so I think that provided Ralph with more motivation to fight back.

Another things is I think Harvey was bigger and tougher-looking than the mobster.

Harvey was also even bigger than Ralph's friend Shirley.

reply

But the mobster had a gun.

Each episode was a stand alone they really didn't follow how things went from each episode.

This has always been one of my pet peeves. In one Episode Ralph is a coward-because thats funny. In other episodes he is knocking guys out left and right, especially in the Lost episodes.
I guess in a similar vein, there are like ten different variations to the way he met Alice, and when his friendship with Ed began.
Example: In one episode he says he met Alice in a restaurant , in another he carried her books home from school-they were inseparable after that, in another he meets her when he gets a job with the EPA, Alice was handing out the Shovels, and on and on.
With Ed its just as confusing, they were either school chums, met in a snooker parlor, met the first day Ralph moved into the building and on and on.
