I just watched "Ronnie Helps a Friend Get An Apartment." Gracie visits the apartment Ronnie's put down a deposit for and meets a babysitting neighbor, so of course she thinks Ronnie's hiding a wife and son. She sends the neighbor off and takes the baby home to meet George, who's been spying through his TV. It occurred to me that if this were the plot of a tv show today,the mother would be criticized for leaving the baby with a stranger, an Amber alert would be issued, Gracie would be arrested for kidnapping (and put under psychiatric investigation) and George would be nabbed as a co-conspirator.

And you forgot one more thing - the Mother would sue the Neighbor for negligence.

Give me a break - a stange lady (Gracie) knocks at the door and asks is her son (Ronnie) there(?). Then she is told no, but the "wife" was just there and left. Gracie is then stunned and surprised,

Then the neighbor shows her the baby and Gracie is again stunned and shocked.

So here you have a strange woman/Gracie asking about someone you dont know, and who is ignorant to a marriage or a child??!! No matter, just hand the baby over to her!!
