What the Movie is Really All About---
Just finished watching the new DVD released by Warner Bros . . . (though I had seen the film years before) . . .
They have to shut-up that kid . . . he has to be eliminated . . . he has to be sacrificed . . .
Brilliantly done movie . . . Ruth Roman is a High Priestess . . .
Those are not his real parents (which is alluded to in the film) . . .
Who are his "real" parents?
Zeus and Thetis . . . Who?
Mr. Woodry nails the window shut, then the door cruelly locked--this bedroom has become Tommy's tomb . . .
Ruth Roman . . . Roman=Classical; Ruth--her story in the Bible (she actually saves the boy) . . .
Tommy, trapped high, high above on that collapsing beam . . . and falls to safety . . .
They weren't able to accomplish their mission . . .
Why must little Tommy be sacrificed?
Whatever the fates have decreed . . .
The film is a masterpiece, and one must spend time watching it--it is thrilling . . .
Tommy survives . . .
A side note: This was the only masterpiece movie that Bobby Driscoll was given . . .
