Great film, but some questions...

- after the prison escape, did cody really just go home (where the police would certainly go and get him). being an escaped prisoner and wanted for murder seemed not to matter anymore all of a sudden. instead of going into hiding he just plans the next heist ... doesn't make sense to me?!

- what happened to verna in the end? was she killed?

- telephones in cars?!

Cody didn't go home, he was on the lam, hiding out. Verna tried to make a deal with the cops, but the head cop said "lock her up" and they took her off to jail. The cop cars had radios with telephone-type hand pieces.
