Few of the cast left ...

Of all the cast only Gabrielle Blunt is still alive. How sad that this great era of film makers are passing away..

I sometimes fantasize that our lives are like DVDs which are archived somewhere.
In "Dark Eyes", Pavel says that everything we do is "written somewhere".

So, the life that is filmed here is fictional, but in some way it represents a reality that did exist, and it is not just on a DVD.

It's like it's always happening, in a way, and I am always writing this, and you are always reading it, somewhere.

So, the Biffer, Moreland Graham, and Joseph Macroon, Wylie Watson, and the rest of them, are always doing what they did, and saying what they said, even though they show in imdb as having died.

Now, when you look at it that way, doesn't it just make these little discs even a bit more magical?

So help me, when I got this Ealing comedy collection, I watched Whiskey Galore and The Maggie over and over and over again, maybe 25 times each at least.

Now, a year or so later, I still bring them out and watch them, and love both those actors and the characters they played, all the more.

They are all my dear friends now, and they're all still there.

Your post regarding Whiskey Galore mentioned 'The Maggie' in an Ealing comedy collection. I searched IMDB for The Maggie but didn't find any result that looked right. Can you tell me about it and where I might find some info on it?
