Gregory Peck's two superlative performances

1) The Keys of the Kingdom (1944)
2) Twelve O'Clock High (1949)

Two PERFECT, unforgettable bravura roles. Either one would plant him firmly at the pinnacle of acting ability, but to do it twice in one lifetime! And "Keys" was only his second appearance on film! The closest I think anyone has come to such a smashing start was Peter O'Toole, Lawrence of Arabia being his 10th appearance and 5th "real" movie.
