You should try to find out if there is another one for sale somewhere online. If there is, then whatever the seller is asking for it will give you a good idea of its value.

What do you mean by 1 of 50? Movie posters were not numbered and there must have been more than 50 printed.

reply

IIRC, 50 is for 1950 and 1 is for first poster of 1950 (though the movie has a 1949 release date).

1949 release date US UK yes. Some European releases 50 & 51. Don't know if posters in English would have been shipped later to those and with a 50 date. Would have to be know for sure about whether handling of numbering for US 1949 end of year. It was nearly 1950 initially so maybe planning. Sort of doubt only 50 posters for US. Then again maybe only sent to major US cities to save on costs. Would any of those end up in a few overseas cities?
I had a flash of European new wave at beginning of this one when Bogart flicks away his cig and pile of Japanese dive for it. Italian and French films would use that scarcity concept a lot too. Contrasts with the huge house his ex-wife and husband occupy, though looks to be a California one.
Director also did a 1962 b/w film called Hitler with Richard Basehart in lead. Seems to be his last theater job doing mostly TV series by then. Never saw that one.
