Well, sort of. When Claire's having her burger and slice of cake at the lunch counter, looking through a fan magazine, her eyes light upon fellow MGM star Ava Gardner in a mink coat. She comments on it to Tom D'Andrea, all the while covering Ava's last name with her well-manicured thumb. I wonder if that was spite work on Totter's part, since they showed MGM star Ann Southern's full name and face on the cover of the fan mag Warren used to inspire his name change.

I think Claire was having a slice of pie, not cake. She shouldn't have been given any dessert, since she only ate half of her burger.

hahaha! It was pie with whipped cream and she only ate one bite of that. It's how she keeps her shapely figure.
