Jane Wyatt

She had little to do, but it was interesting to see her play a "proud" navy wife, rather than a stereotypical, lonely, depressed defence forces wife. Rather than encourage her husband to take that big-paying onshore executive job, she castigated him and scolded that she would be ashamed if he left the navy. Kind of different and I'm sure the navy who provided a lot of technical support for the film wouldn't have been at all upset at this patriotic attitude.🐭

Wouldn't have been the same movie if she encouraged him to leave. He would have left, and then we would have a very different movie. One called "Test Pilot" perhaps. Oh wait, they already made that one.

She is very beautiful in this. Too bad she wasn't used more often.

It's just interesting seeing the reverse of the normal scenario where the wife usually complains about the husband being wedded to his defence forces job.
