a British mini-series on PBS called Danger:UXB. It was about a British bomb diposal team in WWII. I'll have to see if I can get it. I felt this movie was a bit uneven at times, but overall I liked it.
Just saw this film and was impressed with how serious it was,as well as with the experimental film techniques it used to move the story along. It's also one of the very few films I've seen from that era to deal upfront with an alcoholic's struggle to wean himself off the bottle---which made it even more interesting considering what his profession was.
Also, why did Powell and Pressburger call themselves "The Archers"? What was the significance of that name? Just curious.
