I love this Movie to death....I'd rather not go out and buy it, as it would
kind of spoil the 'specialness' of it evrytime it appears on T.V.--- Anytime
it is on, I nail my butt down and watch it--- But PLEASE!! Someone help me out
with Quincannon's lines as he's addressing the troops before they depart the
fort--- He's warning the troops to "Watch them Words!!!!" and then some soldier
yells something back, then Quincannon quickly digresses to whose dog is lying
at the feet of the troops. I always try to make sense of what the trooper's
response was, but I don't have a clue-- Anybody know??

There was a rumor that John Ford said the response.

The line was "Watch them grammer," and I really think it's Arthur Shields, who plays the doctor. BUt, I suppose it could have been Ford.
