DVD Release and Technicolor

Has anyone heard of a possible DVD release of this from Warner Home Video (which currently controls the video release rights)? The tape is now sadly out of print and new & used copies are quite pricey where you can find them. Got mine at a second hand video store. Best $5 investment I ever made. I can't wait for this to come out on DVD, as its one of my favorite films. Needs a restoration badly, especially the 3-strip Technicolor sequences. A restoration would prove some purely awsome results.

Please post and let us know when you hear anything about a DVD release.

I've been waiting for the dvd to come out for a long time, but I bought a VHS version & my sister transferred it to dvd for my personal use along with a few other b/w films.

Walmart sold the software needed to make the transfer, but it keeps getting recalled bc of an ongoing lawsuit.

The Secret Garden has just been restored and released on DVD by Warner Archive and is available from amazon.com for those who live outside the United States. Copy and paste this link:
