Love this movie til the end

Awesome symbolic movie of fears and projection. The london doctor was clarifying. The scene where mary screams at colin is brillant! Abrupt, cheesy ending, better if he had be practicing walking instead of a miracle in my opinion. But all in all an entertaining movie, well paced and fun. What talented children!

You missed the point. Colin was so upset that his father might poison their beautiful garden, he got up to beg him not to ruin it. It was already established that he had been eating well, and was healthy. He was kept in bed all the time and without a quack doctor, he could have walked much younger. The doctor who wrote the father than he had transferred his depression and grief and edge of madness to his son said there wasn't anything wrong with the boy.

Right! Plus he had been getting out with the other children, into the fresh air and sunshine, starting to exercise his atrophied leg muscles by moving about and getting in and out of his wheel chair.

The movie and story are okay but what I liked was the overall message; that's about it. I'm not trying to take anything away from the movie but it was just not for me. I have nothing against children; I love them but I prefer something with adult content like a good romance, drama, or comedy.

And, no, before anyone jumps to any conclusions, I'm not talking about 'adult' content as in anything explicit. I mean something that will challenge my mind. I like plots that require me to do something more than just sit and watch. I like to think and figure things out. I like stories that lead to stimulating conversations with the people with whom I watch the movie; whatever their age. A really good movie, in my opinion, appeals to a variety of viewers at once.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]
