Dandy noir with a twist
I thought this was fine, well worth the watch. I haven't caught much of Raft for some reason, but after this I can see what an impressive presence he was. Morgan was good as expected; not a large part. Burr blew me away. He made a sensational bad guy!
It's a basically straightforward story of brotherly love, consuming revenge, redemption, and a final twist. There are no big surprises. The twist seems like an odd take on a morality play at first, perhaps a bit tidy, but by the time the credits roll, it all works.
