It is very much so a masterpiece, one of the most beautiful and visionary films ever to come out of Britian.

If and when Scorsese finishes his long-in-gestation documentary about British cinema, The Queen of Spades will be a prominent feature on display.

I had not seen or heard about it until last night ... why it is so little known baffles me ... the visuals and music are sumptuous.

I just finished watching. It's good, very realistic. I got the tingles here and there.

A great movie, in terms of visual style VERY ahead of its time - the only (inevitable) flaw with is that what passed for "scary" or "chilling" 64 years ago is quite tame now, so the denouement is a little underwhelming. Still a very satisfying movie, a pleasure to watch, and with some great performances.
