The novel

It's a rare book! It's never on Amazon or eBay. There is a German language edition on Abebooks with illustrations from the movie. However, it's the only edition there. I'd like to read the book to see how it differs from the movie. Has anyone read it? If someone has, will you please share your recollections of the plot so I can compare it to the scenario? Thank you
