'Silence goes faster backwards'

Hello everybody!
I would be delighted if someone could write here the lines heard in the radio in FRENCH, please!

(Silence goes faster backwards
....
A single glass of water lights up the world.
.....)

Thanks!

although six monts later, here's the answer to your post:
the first one is: le silence va plus vite à reculons.
and the second: un seul verre d'eau éclaire le monde.

And also:

Les miroirs feraient bien de réfléchir davantage

L'oiseau chante avec ses doigts (my favorite one)

Le crêpe des petites veuves est un vrai déjeuner de soleil

Jupiter rend sage ceux qu'il veut perdre

(I don't know how it gets rendered in the English version, and I wouldn't dare to translate)

Jupiter rend sage ceux qu'il veut perdre

"Jupiter makes wise those whom he wishes to lose" is used in the movie, I believe, but I would say Jupiter gives wisdom to those who are lost. It may be a play on a line from Medea: Whom the gods would destroy they first make mad. There is another quote: Whom the gods would destroy (or make mad), they first grant their wishes.

This latter quote more nearly fits this film, but it's not eve close to the French sentence.

What a great movie.

Great thread! But more help needed. The following were made with the assistance of Google.

Les miroirs feraient bien de réfléchir davantage.
The mirrors would do well to reflect more.

L'oiseau chante avec ses doigts.
The bird sings with its fingers.

Le crêpe des petites veuves est un vrai déjeuner de soleil.
The small crepe widows are a true sun breakfast.

I don't get that last one at all. Must be idioms going missing.
