Betty Garrett story about Frank Sinatra

My favorite was Betty Garrett’s story about Frank Sinatra.

Sinatra was so thin in those days that his skinny little keister couldn’t fill out the rear-end of his sailor’s uniform, so the costume department had to give him padded buttocks, unbeknownst to most of his co-stars.

One day Betty gave him a playful pat on the butt, and Sinatra went off on her: “DON’T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!” he snarled.

She wondered why Sinatra had been so touchy that day till Gene Kelly told her why.

Interesting.
It was certainly unbeknownst to me, too. :)
I'd never have guessed.
