Why Chuck Jones was a grandmaster cartoonist

Very few animators can capture the subtleties of emotion and facial gestures that Chuck Jones could.
In "Often an Orphan", when the dog is trying to prove that he's part Labrador Retriever and knows that he has Porky right where he wants him, he gets this really smug, self-satisfied look on his face. Every time I watch this cartoon, and see the dog start picking his teeth as he tells Porky to "Sheddap," I laugh like I didn't even know what was coming. Chuck Jones and Mel Blanc: legendary.
