I hadn't realized it at first but Mitchell Leisen was the director of some of my most favorite movies: Hold Back the Dawn, To Each His Own, and No Man of Her Own. I note that he was the director of the 1939 movie, Midnight. Ironically, I have that movie but I have never watched it. Of course, I will watch it soon.

Did you? And did you watch Easy Living?

What I love the most about Leisen is the tone. Many of his movies start as kind of comedies and then they turn to bittersweet dramas, as the characters grow up.
