Watchable DVD copy available

The commercially availble version of this film is notoriously bad. A film society has the best print and offer iton dvd and video: The Great Lakes Cinephile Society, P.O. Box 352, Frankenmuth, Mich. 48734. They have an excellent website. This movie is good but most don't think so because they're watching an incomplete, ugly, reddish, washed-out print.

The best material for this movie is the UCLA restoration. It was released on PAL DVD in the UK. Anyone interested in purchasing NTSC copies can email [email protected]. Thanks, Howard

Watched the Mill Creek DVD version and its colors are faded to nearly black and white status and there's choppy skips and film breaks everywhere. FYI

I have the best one I've ever seen from the UK. Trucolor or Anscocolor was a cheap two-color process. Let me know if interested. [email protected].

Hi, I certainly would like to purchase a copy as long it is an improvement on the commercial editions. What do you charge?

reply

What I have is the UCLA restoration. Best there is. For particulars please send an email to [email protected].
