Did not like this version

I am a lover of the book, and I own the Winona Ryder version, (which has its shortcomings too).

First thing that annoyed me was the fact that Jo sounds like a 3 pack per day smoker. Also, Beth and Amy's ages were reversed for some strange reason. Also didn't like the way they wrote Amy. Yes, she is superficial and obsessed with her appearance, but she isn't selfish. They all have their faults, and I felt like Amy's were blown out of proportion. Beth was the best portrayal by far, actress was great, but she isn't the youngest.

I say save your money for the 1994 version, or better yet, read the book!!

Interesting. The book uses the word "selfish" on several occasions to describe Amy.

I like the 1933 and 1949 version.

I remember I had really looked forward to the 90s version when it was first released, but I was disappointed with it. I haven't seen it since I saw it the one time in the theaters.
