This movie relates to a story told by Harrison Ford

Harrison Ford tells a story about one of his earliest roles in which he played a bell boy in a James Coburn movie, I believe, in the early 1960's. As Ford relates it, after he shot his scene, the producer asked to see him privately. If I remember Ford's story correctly, the producer related to Ford that Tony Curtis had played a bell boy in one of his first movies. The producer apparently said something like, "When you saw Tony Curtis come into the scene, you saw a movie star! When I saw you come into your scene, all I saw was a bell boy." Ford's apparent comeback to this (which I don't remember if he actually said this to the producer) was something to the affect of "The point is to see a bell boy, isn't it?"

I heard this story long before the existence of the world wide web, and I was always curious in what movie Tony Curtis had played a bell boy. A few years later, I saw the movie "The Lady Gambles" on American Movie Classics (back when they didn't have commercials) and low and behold, Tony Curtis appeared as a bell boy!

This movie with Barbara Stanwyck is another little Hollywood gem and I hope it gets DVD treatment.
