Innovation Comic Adaptation

In the early 90s, Innovation Comics produced an adaptation of the serial, written and drawn by Christopher Moeller. It closely followed the story, while expanding on elements here and there (and updating the technology a bit). It was published as a 4 issue mini-series, with each issue ending on a clifhanger, matching one from the serial. The last two pages presents the possibility of sequels that would have surpassed everything that Republic did, assuming one had the budget. The artwork fit the subject and was gorgeous to look at. Definitely worth tracking down for the fan. If you hunt a bit, you can find the individual issues, but it was also released as a trade paperback.
