Was this film remade into the stage musical "A Gentleman's Guide To Love And Murder?" I've never seen the film, only the play, so asking someone who's seen both or knows about both.

They were both derived from the same source, a novel called "Israel Rank". But I'm sure the writers of the musical were aware of the movie.
