Cute movie ... more than a bit dated

But it is fun to see the SF Bay Area in 1949. When the protagonist
of the movie makes his way to Larkspur, Idaho, we know it is really
Larkspur, CA, just a little north of San Francisco.

It is interesting to look on the map for the landmarks ... the gas
station, the main drag of the town, the fire station, etc.

It's interesting to note how the plots of movies were so much more
simple in the past. The plots of criminals too I suppose. Also the
minds of the audiences seem to be a lot more accepting or forgiving.

Still, I liked the movie. Got to watch it for free on You-Tube where
there are a lot of very old movies in their entirety.

It's kind of sad to know that this 1949 movie was almost 70 years
ago and all the actors and people in the movie only reside in the
past and on screen.

Dated? It's a 1949 movie about 1949. The people look and talk like 1949. What did you expect?

As for the plot, it's as complex as most twenty-first-century movies, and more than some.
