One of the locations in this film appeared to me to be exactly like the apartment building Hitchcock used in Vertigo as Madeline's residence. Seeing that both films are located in San Francisco, I am assuming they are the same building. If so, this is an interesting link between the two films, which on a superficial level share similarities in plot.
As a footnote, does anyone know if the building in question is still around, or was it demolished?
It's the Brocklebank, and it's still there...next door to the Fairmount Hotel.

A model of it, maybe. But a replica? There aren't enough people in that town to fill the Brocklebank building and nothing in Ekalaka is more than one and a half stories, 'ceptin the county courthouse.

What's weird is that the apartment's living room looks north towards the bay and then the bedroom looks south towards the Flood Building and Fairmont. That's some apartment!

I live a block away and the building looks the same as it did in Vertigo. It is a very prestigious address. There is also a shot of the Flood Mansion across the street which is still there.
Even the scenes of Sausalito look pretty much alike today. Not much has changed.
