Written for Errol Flynn?

First off, this wasn't too bad a movie. Like one of the reviewers noted, it was kind of neat seeing the area outside of LA before it was all subdivided. But I kept thinking that Robert Douglas' part was written for Errol Flynn. They even used the old dodge that RD was from Canada to explain away his accent. Plus Helen Wescott falls for RD pretty quickly; it wasn't hard to imagine Errol Flynn sweeping her off her feet in the same manner. Maybe it was because RD was in Don Juan with EF (so EF was recently on the WB lot), but it sure seemed like a role tailored for Errol Flynn.
