availability
Has anyone heard if this movie version of 1949 is still available anywhere? I haven't seen it on TV or in a video store. Any good tips on finding out of circulation movie titles that can still be gotten from a source?

shareYour best chance is to take a film class at a good school that owns a print.
shareI just watched this video, great. My buddy bought it on Ebay.
Very good copy, in what could be an original box.
Hello- I was fortunate enough to find the 1949 version on VHS, and have since converted it over to DVD. Let me know if you would be interested in a copy. I am still trying to find any information about the 1926 Silent film, but it is apparatntly a hunt for a myth. I have heard info about the "trailer" but cant seem to find it online anywhere, and it remains pretty elusive. I heard that the National Archives has some stills but thats about it. You can email me at: [email protected] if you are interested.
The trailer for the 1926 Great Gatsby appears on disc 3 of the DVD set More Treasures from American Film Archives: 50 Films, 1894-1931. You can buy it from Amazon or rent it from Netflix.

They're Portuguese, actually, not Spanish.
But still, where'd the lighter fluid come from?

I certainly didn't intend it as rude. Yes, it was rather pointless, but I think it was harmless as well. I didn't mean it to negate anything that you had said, but I just thought I would add a little more insight in case people wanted it.

It's rude to point out that Portuguese isn't Spanish? I think not!
