uncut version

I have a dvd of the uncut Italian version - very good quality - no subtitles. If you are interested in a copy, send me a private message

Way, way back when I was schoolboy at Dublin's Catholic University School, we had a film club, run by a Fr Collins, which showed us movies every month. We saw the 1936 "Olympiad" and the 1949 uncut version of "Fabiola". As it was written by a Cardinal, our priests must have forgiven the rare flashes of nudity (back views, only, of course!). I have vainly sought to get a copy of the uncut film as the US-edited and dubbed version was truly apalling. If you could furnish me with a copy of the complete film, I would very gladly repay whatever costs you incurred. But, alas!, it would have to be a Region 2 (Pal) version as I don't have a multi-region player and could not play NTSC (Region 1) discs. I do hope you can help.It is wonderful to find someone else who regards that movie as a timeless classic. Thanks, Tom Darragh ([email protected]), Dublin, Ireland.

I, too, have the uncut Italian version on dvd, but it is NOT good quality, being bled out in many sequences and seeming to be patched together. Let me know how I can obtain a copy of the "very good" print you have.

Any news as to when a decent full length version will be made available on DVD?
