And I thought I'll be the first: the only one...


I was either 10 or 11 when I saw this movie for the only time ever and I find someone here trying to make it the best of all times.
Well, It might not be, but to me it was such an impact that I was going around for weeks thinking and re thinking about it and now, after 58 years I feel romantically, socially, cinematically, even intellectual, validated.
I'm sure it was Pier Angeli the biggest cause for the impact but I do recollect the ambience, the social conflict, the juvenile love and its consequences due to prejudice, and all of it was part of my reaction to it.
