...The Craziest People


Daffy says hunters are "the craziest people." This is a line lifted from a series of comic psuedo-newsreels of the day that used stock footage of monkeys and added narration. As I recall, the narrator had a German accent, and would close each short with, "Monkeys ist the craziest people!"

A search of IMBD turns up no connection to this catch phrase. Anybody remember what the series was called? Or who produced or narrated it?

That line comes from a segment ot the 1930's Fox Movietone News
narrated by staffer Lew Lehr using a pseudo German accent. It made him
quite famous for a while but there is not a lot of information about him
lying around. I'd type his name into a search engine and see what shows
up.
