Where are Steve and Anna?

Shortly after Anna sees Slim off on the train at Union Station, Steve and Anna (by chance) meet up in the street and make eye contact. The next scene takes place with Anna playing a piano and Steve, sans his shirt and jacket, smoking, drinking and arguing with her. Where are they? It's not Steve's mother's house. A motel room somewhere? But what kind of motel has a piano in it? And no bed. She couldn't have been stupid enough to take him to Slim's? A safe house somewhere? Many questions. I must have too much time on my hands. But this is truly a great film. No matter how many times you see it--it makes you think.

I think they are at Slim's house. Vincent has taken the car to Slim, and he tells her she needs to get another way home, so there must not be anyone around from Slim's group. Anna also mentions later -- when she goes to Steve's mom's house to warn him Slim is coming bach -- that they shouldn't have been seen together in public, so they haven't been playing it safe.

Slim's House. Film should have been named that. Still a good one!

They were in the house where Anna lived unhappily with Dundee. He and Vincent had gone to Las Vegas leaving Anna on her own for a few days. She and Steve had apparently gone to Dundee's house to spend the afternoon and evening making love.
