Well, if you are thinking about watching this film, please do so. I think it is great. My husband and I watch it a couple of times a year and we always enjoy it. There is some humor, some sadness, and a nice ending. Highly recommended from my house.

I'm really surpirsed that this movie isn't shown more during the Christmas season. It may not be able to compete with classics such as It's a Wonderful Life or Miracle on 34th Street but it is certianly very charming. To me it is a fine example of ensemble acting---the whole cast is right on! I especially enjoyed Elsa Lanchester as the dithery Miss Potts---she was near-perfect.
shareIt deserves to be more well known. It's absolutely sweet, charming, heartwarming and all those good things that are often found in old movies from bygone days.
