I already knew Virginia Mayo was beautiful (even in her later years) but in Colorado Territory she makes me gasp for breath! I kept freeze-framing every close-up for minutes at a time.

And when she kisses Joel McCrea for the last time before he rides off to his doom, and she slips him the tongue, I just about lose consciousness.

I find my solace then in bottles,
And I forget them axolotls.
