Stored on the Humax and just watched it.

Didn't know anything about it, but it seemed it like it would push the right buttons.

And it did.

I thought it was splendid. The expression at the end is worth the price of admission alone.

Enjoyed the slo-mo sequence, and the way the press had him as the good guy, which in a way he was, after all.

I'll focus my thoughts and try again later!

I just bought this movie on EBAY. Was wondering if it originally was filmed in Black and White because this is in color.

I had the same experience of buying a colorised version. Still, it took only a few seconds to covert the television into a B&W set for the duration.

I prefer to see films in the original presentation, but after watching the B&W version of "The Mark of Zorro" several times, I popped the colorised version into the DVD player one afternoon as a curiosity. I am bound to say, the technicains had done a supurb job. I'm not willing to admit they ought to have done the job at all, but it was great work nevertheless.

Forget Raging Bull, this along with Robert Ryan's The Set Up are the most realistic boxing films I've seen. Douglas deserved the first of at least 3 Oscars he should have won in his career. Another plus in Champion is the score by the great Dimitri Tiomkin.
