what does he do for a job in the 1943 and 1949 serials? i dont remember anything about wayne enterprises ever being mentioned.

Iirc, Bruce doesn't really "do" anything.
Not unlike today, sole heirs to ridiculous fortunes don't need to "do" anything. Well, except to keep the family in the news.
Preferably in a good way.

Bruce spent the 1949 serial sitting around the house, often listening to the radio news (no tv in those days) always with Dick G. with him.
He got into some action sometimes.
But, as the other poster says, he really doesn't do anything.
