Hilarious serendipity

As I was watching the scene in which Cooper (Berle) auditions for the part in Eagen's show, I kept thinking, "Dang, that smoking jacket's ugly. I've seen it before, too. And recently. Now where...?"

And I kept thinking about it throughout the movie. Yeah, I can be a little OC about things like that. I was still thinking about it when I finished watching Always Leave Them Laughing on my DVR and shifted to the "live" cable feed.

And there it was.

"MISS PREEN!" screamed Monty Woolley as Sheridan Whiteside in The Man Who Came To Dinner.

He was wearing that ghastly garment.

I wonder how many other Warner movies it appeared in? And I wonder who has it now?
