Apparently, Frank Sinatra recorded a version of "Farwell, Amanda" for Adam's Rib for the film (sung by David Wayne in the film) that may have been lost.
Has anyone heard that recording and could a recording exist? I thought that David Wayne's version was great although I am a Sinatra fan.
You hear a bit of Sinatra singing the song in the film played over the radio and on the phonograph record. A while back there was a compilation done of Sinatra's film music. A complete recording of the song by him couldn't be found in the MGM archives so what you hear on the film is all there is.

It is definitely Sinatra. The one on the record after he slams the door, I mean. The one that comes on the radio is not him.
