tea and curry, that's the thing...


... when they make dinner for themselves. I don't think I've ever seen an American film of that era (1940s) refer to curry? I'd assumed the tea remark was a refernce to England, and maybe someone had been to England and had one. Then did a little research and it turns out curry has been cooked in the US since the 1840's

If you lived in NYC, even way back then, I think you'd have been exposed to a large array of cuisines. . .including Indian.
