Attempted murder?

Love this movie. One of my favorites and I just made a dvd copy from TCM but would there really be a big fabulous trial over attempted murder in the first place? I could see if it was murder but. . . .

Well they talk in the beginning about it being an open and shut case but the fact that both lawyers are highly respected makes it a higher importance. Amanda chose the case as a claim in women's rights as opposed to a simple defense. Make sense?

"My feet are made if clay, made if clay don't you know. Goodnight little man"

Kate's character, Amanda was blowing everything up and exploiting her client and her client's victims to push her own agenda. She was blinded by feminist claptrap. We see it all over the media today. Everyone would rather hear about a woman's feelings than the actual facts of the case.

Get off your soapbox while I play you a tune on the tiniest violin.

______________
More absurd diversions and feminist clap trap, as women WANT others to hear all about their poor put-upon feelings and how hard done by they are by men. I am now absolutely convinced that females are living in a total different stratosphere to men and refuse to see the forest for the trees. It is all a biased one way street with them, and they truly believe that men are the ones that ruin any chance of a solid and viable relationship with them and are always at blame. Those awful meanie men have knocked all the confidence out of them, yet they still crave for their presence, yet still want to feel superior and special.

There is some degree of merit to that point of view.
