Did you figure out who the killer was?

Boris Karloff was too obvious, I knew it had to be someone else. After watching it again, I realized that it was easy to guess that Melton was the killer because:
- he repeatedly accused Costello of being the killer to take the heat off himself
- the stocky figure in the cave matched his body form
- as the hotel manager, he could easily get around and kill people, plant bodies, etc.

I think I was in kindergarten when I first saw it, and I thought Boris was the killer at the time, so Melton was a surprise to my 5 year old brain. If I was older I might have picked up the clues a little better.

Thats not really an excuse. I too, saw this in kindergarten, and was able to correctly figure out who the killer was

I came into this thread thinking it was a joke, and now the movie's spoiled. Why the hell would the title be: "the killer, Boris Karloff?"

In the word of Freddy from Return of the Living Dead, the movie lied! It lied right off the bat!! xD

reply

You'll still like it even if you know who the killer is.

reply

I didn't. I really thought it was Boris Karloff until the very end.

You should put spoiler in your heading. Now I know who the killer is if I ever get to watch this. Please in the future, any film made after 1940, don't spoil it for the rest of us
