For those who are curious about the 3 DVD 'Suspense' collections

If you purchase all 3 "Suspense" Lost Episode collections.

There were 16 episodes broadcast in season 1 (1949*)
The three sets give you 8 of them.

There were 42 episodes broadcast in season 2 (1949-1950)
The three sets give you 18 of them.

There were 55 episodes broadcast in season 3 (1950-1951)
The three sets give you 18 of them.

There were 53 episodes broadcast in season 4 (1951-1952)
The three sets give you 22 of them.

There were 48 episodes broadcast in season 5 (1952-1953)
The three sets give you 21 of them.

There were 46 episodes broadcast in season 6 (1953-1954)
The three sets give you 1 of them.

*Suspense began in January 1949 with an apparent non season special. (Season 1's first episode is listed as broadcasting on March 1st.)

There are also 2 episodes in the sets which were apparently made after the series ended in 1954. (I don't know why these episodes were produced. Perhaps the series was planned to be revived.).

NOTE: The reason two of the seasons seem longer then a year is because there were no reruns and the dividing lines between seasons is somewhat hazy. The seasonal divisions here are based on IMDb listings. With a little extra research for episodes that IMDb didn't assign a season to. There seems to be a little confusion on the # of episodes in season 6 but I partially base MY findings on my own research. There may be some small errors in the findings, but I believe this is either accurate or very, very close.

This puts the total # of Suspense episodes at 260 during it's 6 season run plus (at least) 2 post run episodes. The DVD sets contain a total of 88 episodes of the original run plus the 2 post run episodes.

You get just over 1/3 of the entire run.

Now, this apparently is all the episodes that are KNOWN to exist. Hopefully, if more are discovered, more will be released.

Hope this helps anyone who is wondering about these sets.

"Death at the Stock Car Races" has James Whitmore repeating a role he played in the 12-episode reboot of Suspense in 1963. IMDB lists it as a 1964 movie unrelated to any TV series, but it's a half-hour show which includes Suspense titles which may or may not have been added later. The teleplay is by frequent Twilight Zone writer, Charles Beaumont.

The Funmaster, with Keenan Wynn, is listed by IMDB as an episode of the 1957-58 series, Rendezvous. It also has beginning and end Suspense titles, as well as vocal "Act One" and "Act Two" announcements. It was directed by Robert Mulligan.

I guess these were added to pad the discs. The Funmaster is on disc three, which still only has 6 episodes.
